1 sheet of A4 cardboard, a sheet of watercolor paper, material 30 x 23 cm, synthetic winterizer, PVA glue, brush, ruler, pencil, scissors, collet knife, eyelet installer, eyelets - 6 pcs., rope, decorations for the cover.

Cut the paper into six pieces. Who makes sheets of 10 x 15 from other paper. I got 10 of them. You can make any number. As many wishes as you are ready to give to your man.

We make a cover. For the front cover we cut off watercolor paper 11 x 15, cardboard 11 x 13 (it should be 2 cm shorter), for the back - cardboard 11 x 15.

Glue the cardboard for the front cover to the paper so that the edge of the paper is visible on the left.

We cut out the padding polyester for the covers according to the size of the cardboard.

We make paper creasing along the edge of the cardboard. We need this so that our book opens easily.

Cut off the material. For the front cover, the size is 11 x 15 plus 2 cm each on the top, bottom, right and 5 cm on the left.

For the back, 2 cm on each side.

Let's start with the back cover. We bend and glue the edges of the material on top and bottom and glue it on PVA glue. By the way, I recently started using this cover design method, it was suggested to me by the craftswoman Yulia Sidifarova. He liked me very much and I refused all the others. The corners with it are very neat and thin folds. And now I glue the material only on PVA. But don't apply too much so that the glue doesn't seep through the fabric. We cut the corner without reaching the edge of 1-2 mm.

Then we make a cut diagonally. As shown.

Lubricate the corners with PVA glue, glue, bringing the corners to the edge of the cardboard.

Now we turn the finished side and glue it. We do this with all corners.

Glue the back endpaper.

We break through and put eyelets.

Now the front cover. Lubricate the area of ​​paper not covered with synthetic winterizer with glue.

I will tell you and show you how to make a checkbook of desires. This is a very relevant gift on the eve of February 23 and March 8.

We will need:

The basis for the cover, I use designer cardboard

So let's go.

To create the CHKZH, I use 15x15 cm scrap paper.

I try to make the book as similar as possible to a real checkbook.

First, we prepare the pages for wishes. I have 14 of them. Cut the sheet in half and cut off 1/4 inch in height. Total in inches, the paper is obtained: 5 3/4 x 3. In centimeters, 14.1 x 7.7.

We make perforation moving away from the edge by half an inch or 12.7 mm. I used to do perforation with a special tool, but now I have a sewing machine, everything is easier here, just stitch through all the pages without a thread. Thanks to these holes, the pages will be easily torn off.

Perforated pages are ready.

Now we make the basis for the cover.

According to the color scheme of my pages, I chose dark designer cardboard, with a density of 280 gr.

The cover turned out to be 31.8 x 8.3 cm. I made a fold line in the middle. I have it wide enough - half an inch or 12.7mm. When all the pages are ready and assembled, this width will be useful to us so that the cover closes and opens well.

On the left side of the open cover, I always have a text-instruction for the use of CHKZH. Here you can see the margins I made.

Next we decorate the pages. You can give free rein to your imagination, but try to keep the pages as flat as possible, we don’t need additional volume here. I use many different stamps, punches and die cuts. Any stamps you have are used. You can make a background, use phrases that fit the theme of the wish, etc. For example, I even use stamps with a children's theme))).

Here are all my pages. Now we can collect our book.

On the reverse side, in the area before perforation, we glue double-sided tape on each check and glue the checks to each other. If you use glue at this stage, try not to touch the perforation so that after gluing the checks can easily come off the spines.

After all the checks are glued together, add the last page of the same size as the checks. The last check is glued to this page only in the spine, but the last page will already be glued to the base completely.

Let's add more brads. They will additionally keep our checks and serve as decor for us.

Now the block is ready, but before gluing it to the base, I advise you to draw up the back of the checkbook.

I always try to put my personal stamp on my work, this work is no exception. Now we can glue the finished block with checks to the base.
