To create the ChKZh I use scrap paper measuring 15x15 cm.

I try to make the book as similar as possible to a real checkbook.

First, we prepare pages for wishes. I have 14. Cut the sheet in half and cut off 1/4 inch in height. Total in inches the paper is: 5 3/4 x 3. In centimeters 14.1 x 7.7.

We make perforations moving away from the edge by half an inch or 12.7 mm. I used to do perforation with a special tool, but now I have a sewing machine, everything is simpler here, you just stitch all the pages without thread. Thanks to these holes, the pages will come off easily.

The perforated pages are ready.

Now let's make the base for the cover.

Based on the color scheme of my pages, I chose dark designer cardboard with a density of 280 g.

The cover turned out to be 31.8 x 8.3 cm. I made a fold line in the middle. I have it quite wide - half an inch or 12.7 mm. When all the pages are ready and assembled, we will need this width so that the cover closes and opens well.

On the left side of the open cover I always have text instructions for using PCI. Here you can see the margins I made from the edges.

Next we decorate the pages. You can give free rein to your imagination, but try to keep the pages as flat as possible, we don’t need additional volume here. I use a lot of different stamps, die cuts, and die cuts. Any stamps you have can be used. You can make a background, use phrases that fit the theme of the wish, etc. For example, I even use stamps with children's themes))).

Now all my pages are ready. Now we can collect our book.

On the reverse side, in the area before the perforation, we glue double-sided tape to each check and glue the checks to each other. If you use glue at this stage, try not to touch the perforation so that after gluing the checks can easily come off the spines.

After all the checks are glued together, add the last page of the same size as the checks. The last check is glued to this page only in the spine, but the last page will already be glued to the base completely.

Let's add more brads. They will additionally hold our receipts and serve as decor for us.

Now the block is ready, but before gluing it to the base, I advise you to design the back of the checkbook.
