You can create such a tool yourself, but for this you should know the rules for its preparation and application. It is these questions, as well as recipes for homemade body creams, that we will consider in today's article.

Useful tips for making and using homemade body creams

To create the perfect body cream, you should know the following rules:

  • Prepare the mixture in a container made from non-toxic materials (crystal, ceramic, clay, or glass).
  • Use the freshest ingredients and products. They must be free from unpleasant odors and external defects.
  • When making a cream for the first time, try to use no more than 4 components, so you can evaluate the result of the cream and in the future correct the existing errors in the composition of the product.
  • The key to preparing a high-quality cream is to mix its ingredients: beat the composition until it becomes slightly warm.
  • Always follow the directions given in the recipe for the cream: do not change the dosage of the ingredients, and also always observe the temperature regime.
  • By replacing the water with green tea, hibiscus tea or chamomile tea, you will make the cream even more effective and healthier.
  • Before making the cream, be sure to prepare all the ingredients: a clean cream jar, a bowl for making it, measuring spoons, a syringe, a blender, etc.
  • To make solid foods easy to measure, chop them with a knife or grater.
  • You need to apply the cream every day, the body should be clean and dry.
  • Having used up the homemade cream, start creating a new one, but using a different recipe. Try to prepare 5-7 different products in turn, and from them choose 3 creams that suit you in all respects.

Armed with this knowledge, you can prepare the perfect beauty product and enjoy the stunning look of your skin in the future.

Cream is an opaque emulsion of dense texture containing oil, water, emulsifiers, intended for skin care. Emulsifier - a natural (chicken protein, yolk) or synthetic component (lecithin), which is a binder between water and oil.

The first creams appeared in Egypt. They were created from infusions of flowers, tonic additives, natural nutritional components. Creams were considered a luxury; only high-ranking officials - priests and pharaohs - could use them.

The process of creating cosmetics for body care was continued by the wise men from Greece. The main ingredient in the creams was olive oil. Later, unique formulas of natural ingredients were added to it, which affect the production of elastin and collagen in the cells of the epidermis.

In Russia, body cream was made from sour cream, honey, animal fats, eggs, as well as vegetables and fruits. To supplement the healing properties, forest berries, roots of medicinal plants, and medicinal herbs were added to cosmetic preparations. In ancient Russia, creams were made independently at home.

In the process of pouring the mixture, an emulsion will gradually begin to form, which, as a rule, will thicken after three quarters of the mixture has already been mixed. Continue adding the mixture to the water and mixing.

After that, depending on the desired degree of aroma, add a few drops of the selected essential oil.

Transfer the cream to a glass container. It can be stored for about 6 months and is best kept in the refrigerator to extend the shelf life.

That's all! It's not as difficult as you thought. Now your skin will thank you for healing natural cream, not for the harsh chemicals found in every cosmetic product you buy. Enjoy!

Before we start creating the cream, it is necessary to disinfect all the instruments and containers. This can be done with boiling water or steam. Then wipe everything with alcohol. This will avoid the multiplication of pathogens in the finished cream. This cream should be stored in the refrigerator for no more than 1 month.

We measure out all the necessary ingredients. We add the emulsifier to the base oil and send them to the water bath.

We measure out the hydrolat or prepared water into a second container and, after waiting for the emulsion wax to completely melt, we also slightly heat it up in a water bath.

It is necessary that the 2 phases of our future cream - "water" - hydrolat and "oil" - oil with an emulsifier, reach approximately the same temperature, otherwise, upon subsequent mixing, the desired consistency will not be achieved. Just do not overheat the hydrolat, otherwise all its usefulness will disappear.

We connect our two phases in one container ...

… And start mixing with a mini mixer. Before our eyes, what is formed for which the emulsifier was added - a delicate creamy emulsion.

After waiting for the emulsion to cool to room temperature, you can start adding vitamins and essential oil. If you add them to a hot base for a future cream, then all their beneficial properties will disappear. Added? Mix!

You can already accept congratulations - our cream is ready! But in this form, it can be stored in the refrigerator for no more than 2 days. To prolong its existence, it is necessary to add a preservative. We will use Sharomix - it is suitable for leave-in cosmetics. It is recommended to add 2-3 drops per 100 grams, so 1-2 drops will be enough for us. We introduce a preservative and mix thoroughly.

So the crucial and solemn moment has come - the finished cream can be put into a beautiful jar!
