Master class on the Wire Wrap technique: Treble clefs. Wire Wrap Masterclass: Treble Clefs Note Locket Pendant

In this master class I will tell you how to make wire jewelry with your own hands. We will consider the manufacture of wire jewelry using these earrings as an example. The principle will be the same for many similar products. Much can be done in this way, you just need to show a little imagination!

You will need:

  • wire. 2 pieces of the same color and different thickness. Thick need about 1-1.5 m (depends on the size of what you will do), thin 3-6 m (Steel wire 1.2 and 0.2-0.3 mm will do);
  • Aluminum 2 and 0.4 - 0.6 mm;
  • Copper 1.6 and 0.4 mm;
  • Beads 3-6 mm. It is better to have a few of everyone, you can even have different ones one at a time;
  • Beads, large and small;
  • Thin-lips, round-lips, wire cutters;

Also, preferably a plan of action.

According to our plan, we bend the bases from the wire. I have 2 of them, because. need earrings. Bend 2 identical is always a big problem. I advise you to start making a pendant to practice. Everything is done exactly the same.

I bring both bases to the finished form, I try to make them as identical as possible.

Next, we begin to wind a thin wire on the base. We hide the tip under the winding, the excess can be carefully cut off with wire cutters. We wind the base tightly, wind the wire at the intersections. We string the beads one at a time, and tightly fasten them to the base.

Around very large beads, you can wind several turns of wire, as when sewing on a button.

At the bottom, I want to leave some free space. To make the transition look "soft", I gradually reduce the diameter of the beads

Passing the intersection of the warp, wind them tightly.

That's the whole secret. When finished, tuck the ponytail into the last loop and tighten as tight as possible (just don't break the wire), so you tie a knot and the beads will hold tight.

We love the result.

They confidently win their place in our jewelry boxes, pushing the bored "carnations" and "pendants". The great advantage of ear cuffs is that they do not need to pierce the ears, since, repeating the shape of the auricle, they are held on special fasteners and clips. Let's see how to make cuff earrings with your own hands.

DIY cuffs: master class

For the manufacture of ear cuffs, in addition to wire, any materials are used: feathers, beads, pearls, pendants, flowers, chains. Required tools:

  • pliers,
  • pliers,
  • wire cutters.

There are two simple shapes ear cuffs, on the basis of which more complex ones are made later.

Simple cuff that attaches to the ear with a clip

Such simple cuffs can be made with your own hands even from paper clips.

If you change the pattern of bends, string beads on the wire or fasten chains, pendants, feathers to the bottom loop, you can get very beautiful cuffs.

Kaffa "treble clef" made of wire with your own hands

You will need:

  • 36 cm of wire 1-1.2 mm thick (for beginners, it is better to take a wire 0.6 mm thick);
  • marker, ruler.
  1. We bend the wire in half and grab the middle with the tip of the round-nose pliers.
  2. We bend one of the sides of the wire around the second end of the round-nose pliers, and then we bend both ends around the resulting figure.
  3. We bend the ends of the wire so that they cross the base 8-9 mm from the top, and make a large semicircle on the left, leading the wire under the base of the key (product).
  4. We make a symmetrical bend on the right and bring the wire to the upper loop. Holding the ends of the wire together, we make a loop and, pulling the wire to the bottom, we take it to the left.
  5. Bend the loop into reverse side, it should go around the base from the front side and go to the right from the wrong side.
  6. To attach the cuff, we take the wire to the left in a straight line 1.4 cm from the center. Then we take the wire in the opposite direction and make a mark so that the fastening length is 3.5 cm.
  7. We bend the cuff mount into a semicircle and bend it so that it fits comfortably on the ear, and the treble clef looks even.

Three pendant ideas for music-inspired people in materials for every taste - wire, a simple frame and a wooden spool of thread.

1. Colored wire treble clef pendant

For this simple and elegant pendant you will need:

  • thick wire (not necessarily the usual “metallic” colors; there is a handmade wire of any color; for example, pink in the photo);
  • lock and thin chain;
  • connecting ring;
  • round nose pliers and nippers.

  1. Cut about 60 cm of wire and fold it in half. The size of the finished key will depend on the length of the wire; with these parameters, it will turn out to be about 6 cm in length.
  2. Pass the round nose pliers into the fold and make a loop.
  3. Bend (as smoothly as possible) the main part of the wire at a distance of about 5 cm from the loop.
  4. Holding the wire with round nose pliers, flip the main part of it to the left so that the workpiece is under the main part. You will get a figure that looks a bit like an integral.
  5. Make a wide loop by passing the rest of the wire over the "integral", but under the loop itself.
  6. Make the last loop, small in size, leading the wire under the entire figure.
  7. Cut off excess wire with wire cutters, twist and squeeze the end with pliers.
  8. Attach a connecting ring to the top of the key, to an elongated loop, and thread a chain with a lock at its ends through it.

The pendant is ready, it can already be worn.

If desired, it is possible to hang another bead or some small figure (of those used as pendants in bracelets) on the lower curl of the key, but be careful that they are not heavy. Otherwise, the wire will “straighten”, losing its shape.

The treble clef as a musical symbol is universal, but in exactly the same way it can be twisted from wire like any other key (only more schematically - all other musical keys consist of several elements, i.e. the wire line, in theory, should be interrupted) or a note. Always fold the wire in half - this will not only make any type of suspension stronger, but will always provide a place to attach the connecting ring.

2. "Musical bobbin" from the thread spool: suspension

This pendant can be attributed more to the vintage style.

For her, take:

  • an empty wooden spool of thread;
  • a reel-wide strip of music (any notes, choose a piece from your favorite piece;
  • and if you want to put notes of a song on the coil, find them with the words signed below the lines and cut out this particular part so that not only musicians can “read” the pendant);
  • chain;
  • pin with a loop;
  • 2 connecting rings, a lock, a chain and a flat separator (wider than the hole in the coil);
  • suspension (any);
  • pliers;
  • clear varnish (can be with sparkles);
  • glue.

1. Glue a sheet of music onto the spool.

2. Thread the pin into the hole of the coil with the eyelet down.

3. Thread the flat spacer through the top of the pin so that it lies on the top of the coil, twist the rest of the pin with pliers, put the connecting ring on the resulting loop.

4. Lacquer thickly the sheet of music.

5. Attach a small hanger to the bottom loop of the pin.

6. Put the finished jewelry on a chain with a lock.

3. Pendant-medallion with notes

The simplest suspension option.

Take:

  • frame for jewelry with glass;
  • notes;
  • scissors and pencil;
  • chain.

1. Cut out a piece of music that you like best, sized to match the frame.

2. Insert it into the frame and hang it on the chain.
