From the age of five I was engaged in artistic gymnastics, reached the first youth category, but by the age of eight I had to leave classes. The loads were very heavy, the competitions were frequent, and there were so many worries that I started having insomnia. But even in this short period of time, my character was tempered. In general, I could no longer live without sports and at the age of 15 I started going to the gym. How else? I was a thin boy at school, and besides, I was the youngest of all in the class. So I had to prove that I could stand up for myself. Since then, I have been constantly in shape, sometimes I achieve a noticeable relief, and when the tour begins, I lose weight a little.

Do you go to group training or boxing?

Hands did not reach boxing. (Smiles.) And it makes no sense for me to go to the group ones: at concerts I move a lot and dance. You can say that I practice cardio on stage.

Probably favorite exercises have appeared over the years?

I love to work my pectoral muscles and triceps, but I hate working on my abs and legs. My leg muscles are quite well developed after gymnastics and choreography, which I did as a child, but I still go around the treadmill. Cubes on the press are still only my dream. But in fact, I never set myself the task of becoming a jock. On the contrary, when the muscles grow too much, it becomes difficult to move around the stage, and it becomes more difficult to sing because the muscles in the neck also tense. That being said, if I start to lose muscle mass, I immediately put on weight. To keep the golden mean, I balance on the edge: I train hard, then I take a break.

What about baked pancakes? Are sports and delicious food generally compatible?

Unfortunately no. I really love sweets, pasta, buns, bread. I am a "carbohydrate soul" suffering from an athletic diet based on protein and fiber. I eat boiled chicken breasts and vegetable salads. Touring, of course, is tough; not in all cities and towns you can find the right food without fat and mayonnaise. Now I try to limit myself: they bring me ready-made meals, designed for only 2,000 calories per day. For my height 179 cm and weight 81 kg, this is not much.

I’m already waiting for my 70th birthday and no need to perform on stage and think about how I look. But still, before shooting in videos, where I will be, for example, topless, I have to sit on a protein and carbohydrate-free diet for a week. But I can't say that the press is easy for me, this is constant work on myself. I, like everyone else, sometimes want to be lazy, relax, but I have to go to the gym.

For example, today at 9 am I was already in the hall, despite the fact that there is a performance ahead, where I will also be actively moving - full-fledged fitness. I do this periodically both at home and on tour. Calmly, in 40 minutes in my room, I can strain all muscle groups. It's just a matter of desire. Why do I need it? I want to be in good shape, to motivate other people, to look young and healthy at 35.

- Sergey, your colleagues have repeatedly spoken negatively about fat people. Do you also think that it is impermissible to launch yourself in the 21st century?

As they say, do not judge, but you will not be judged. I believe that everyone has their own characteristics of the body. We do not know why he looks one way or another - all of a sudden metabolic problems, stress, illness. It happens when people eat right and go in for sports, but they still swell due to health problems. Therefore, one size fits all should not be combed.

But, on the other hand, if a person is healthy and simply cannot control himself, cannot find the time, always comes up with excuses, then I have a bad attitude towards this - this is a manifestation of weakness. If you have strength, if you understand that your excess weight is primarily yourself, then you need to fight this even for your health and longevity.

- Many are trying to lose weight in quick ways, torment themselves with starvation ...

I am categorically against urgent weight loss, pills that will remove all the water and a lot of nutrients from the body. It is unlikely that the powders, which are also offered for weight loss today, will lead to a positive result. Yes, they will temporarily give something, but they can undermine health.

"There is no place for sweets in my family!"

- Do you also not allow Nikita to eat sugar and bakery products?

Yes, he has about the same diet as me. Now, of course, his favorite dish is pasta, but so far they can be eaten at his age without any problems. In general, I try to limit it in bakery products. Granny, of course, loves to give him both rolls and bread, but I immediately stop these attempts. I am struggling with the Soviet hardening of my mother - to feed her harder. Still, health, metabolism are laid down in childhood, and it is very important not to let it go by itself.
Naturally, Nikita does not know about any sausages and sausages. Moreover, my child still has not tasted a single candy and chocolate. He does not drink any juices, soda - only plain water or tea. I want him to know about harmful foods as late as possible. And perhaps in the future he thanked me for that!
